How many sponsored employers are there?

As of 10 March 2021, there are 33,527 British businesses that have been granted Sponsor Licence by the UK Visa & Immigration ("UKVI").

By having a Sponsor Licence, businesses are able to issue work visa to employ foreign workers.

Since 1 January 2021, EU nationals are required to have work visas to work in the UK, unless they qualify for Pre-Settled/Settled Status under the EU Settlement Scheme.

It is important for employers to take note that it is a criminal offence to employ a worker without the relevant immigration paperwork.
